The Association of Surgeons (ASOU) of Uganda recognizes and shines a spotlight on the unsung accomplishments of Uganda’s women in surgery.

Of all the women in surgery in Uganda who have passed through the corridors of hospitals, Emergency Rooms, and Operating Theatres, the ones listed are among the most noteworthy still alive to date.

ASOU Strategic Plan

This five-year strategic plan of the Association of Surgeons of Uganda (ASOU) covers the period of 2022 – 2027.

It defines the strategic direction of ASOU as it morphs into a proficient institution, responsive to the changes in world today.

It also spells out the roadmap to the realization of our vision while anchoring our activities in the values we profess as being sacrosanct.

ASOU Constitution

For purposes of this constitution, unless the context otherwise requires,
“Association of Surgeons of Uganda” means the institution inaugurated
following a resolution of the members of the Association of Surgeons of
Uganda at the Annual General Meeting held in Kampala in 1987.

ASOU Activity Calendar

The Association of Surgeons has released its activity calendar for the year, featuring monthly seminars on the latest surgical techniques and advancements. Upcoming events include a hands-on workshop on minimally invasive procedures in June and an annual conference in September. Members can register online to participate and stay updated on industry innovations.
